When you think of sweet little old ladies, you probably associate them with homemade cookies, cups of hot cocoa and crocheted hats and socks and sweaters.
What you probably don't think of, is them firing shots at a burglar who has the audacity to break into their home.
But then again, if you're breaking into someone's home in the state of Texas, you should expect anyone to have a gun, including a Grandma.
"So I had to walk right out in front of him and I didn't know if he was going to kill me or what."
Rebbie Roberson was chilling in her Texarkana home watching the news when someone broke into her house.
"I reached over there and grabbed this gun. And when I swerved around, I pointed it at him and he ran."
Roberson then fired her pistol several times and although she's unsure as to whether or not she hit the suspect, she is sure that she left several bullet holes in her home, effectively scaring the perp off.
"I tried to kill him. Anybody break in on me, I'm going to kill them. He's going to kill me or I'm going to kill him."
The Bowie County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Jeff Neal says that although things could've turned out "worse for both individuals, both the victim and the suspect" that Roberson was within her rights to use her firearm to defend herself in her home against an invader.
And again, that suspect must be out of his mind breaking into someone's home in Texas. Hell, even the family dog is probably packing heat.
