Divorce can be a messy and painful process for many families, so it's always encouraging to see former couples handle their breakups as lovingly as possible. One young woman had Twitter in tears last month after posting a beautiful bouquet of flowers that her father sent her mother upon the finalization of their divorce.
One couple, however, handled their divorce just as sweetly — with a little more humor. Honestly, we didn't know that #DivorceGoals could be a thing, but we're feeling pretty damn inspired.
Twitter user Emma Becerra spent her weekend with family, celebrating a milestone in her parents' relationship: their divorce.
Friends and neighbors were invited to celebrate with the former couple, who were clearly having a great time.
They even passed out party favors...
...And decorated a happy getaway car, proudly declaring their split to the world.
Certainly not the most traditional response to divorce, but, clearly, the family is on good terms and continuing to enjoy life.
Becerra tweeted photos of the festivities. Because how else is one supposed to share the good news of their parents' harmonious uncoupling?

The photos have been retweeted nearly 30,000 times — in just two days.
People were LOVING the party idea, and some even wished their own parents could have behaved this way during a breakup .

Naturally, a formal divorce party didn't appeal to everyone.

Perhaps buying commemorative gifts to celebrate the dissolution of a marriage isn't everyone's taste.
However, Becerra has received mostly positive feedback from various well-wishers on Twitter.
@_emmabecerra @DereWreck seems like they are on the best of terms despite the situation.
