In order to stay afloat in 2017, businesses need to have strong social media presences — to advertise deals and events, to address customer concerns, and to prove their brands can remain relevant in a changing economy.
However, not all social media strategies are created equal. In case you haven't been paying attention, the Wendy's Twitter account has taken over the Internet.
The madness began back in 2016 when Wendy's had some choice words for a Twitter user wondering "what could be better than Burger King's 5 for $4 deal?"

In fact, Wendy's has no shortage of sick burns for any inquiring customers or Internet trolls.

But the fast food joint outdid itself earlier this week when it entered into a Twitter war with a troll who challenged Wendy's use of fresh ingredients.

"So you deliver [your beef] raw on a hot truck?" Twitter troll Thuggy-D raged.
"Where do you store cold things that aren't frozen?" Wendy's prompted in response.
When said Twitter troll responded by praising McDonalds, Wendy's WENT OFF:
@NHride You don't have to bring them into this just because you forgot refrigerators existed for a second there.

Turns out, the genius behind all of these fabulously salty tweets is social media manager Amy Brown.
every january i emerge from hibernation to make my One Big Tweet from the corporate account. see u guys in 2018.

According to Mashable, Brown has held the position since 2012 when Wendy's VP of Advertising, Brandon Rhoten, hired her "after trolling her on Twitter." Behold, the 21st-century job interview.
Brown's personal Twitter account is worth a follow for a daily dose of snarky remarks — and some gems from her mother.

It looks like Wendy's even gave Brown's efforts a shoutout in the official Twitter bio.
We certainly hope Brown's getting a raise in 2017.
