Fisher-Price Is Releasing A Stationary Bike For Toddlers And People Aren't Happy About It

With 2017 in full swing, chances are that if you've made some type of health-related resolution. You've probably mounted the stationary bike at your local gym for a few minutes since anything else seems to make your bones grind and your tendons pop, and then called it a day.

Riding a real bike is infinitely more satisfying of course, but for many of us, it's more of a leisure activity we enjoyed more frequently in our youth than part of our standard exercise programs. With that in mind, it's easy to understand why people were taken aback when Fisher Price previewed their Think & Learn Smart Cycle that's scheduled to land this Fall.

The bike comes complete with a tablet dock and games that parents can shell out money for. It's also bluetooth enabled so it can connect to your Apple/Android TV and your spawn can pedal away without the awkward glance down. It's aimed at 3-6 year-olds, who should probably be learning how to ride an actual bike instead.

People chimed in on Twitter with the disapproval, though thankfully this still hasn't made its way to the 'back in my day' crowd.

Not everyone disapproved, though.

The bike will cost parents $150 upon release, along with plenty of side-eye from other parents without a doubt.

Is this a tech solution to a countrywide problem, or just another way to isolate our children from experiencing the outdoors? Tell us what you think in the comments.
