The holidays are supposed to spent with family — so it's heartbreaking to think that some children don't have family to celebrate with. However, there are some happy holiday time adoption stories that have us melting.
One family, in particular, has us crying this ugliest of tears of joy.
Earlier this week, 3-year-old Michael Brown was formally adopted by his foster family in Phoenix, Arizona.
Clearly, he was pretty excited about the big day. And the photos will destroy you.
So far, Michael is fitting in perfectly with his new siblings.
"His last name was already Brown so we knew it was meant to be," Michael's 17-year-old adoptive sister, Dezhianna Brown, told BuzzFeed News.
Of course, Dezhianna tweeted the precious photos to share the good news.

"He was so excited on the day," she said. "I don’t think he truly understood what being adopted meant. He just knew he was being adopted."
Does it get any purer than this? No, no it does not.
The photo of the two big sisters posing with their new baby brother was so perfect, Twitter began hoping that the two women were actually couple — so Dezhianna had to let us down easy by explaining that this was just a sibling pic.

So maybe they're not a stunning lesbian couple completing their family, BUT IT'S STILL SO CUTE.
Michael's other adoptive sister, 18-year-old Jordae Brown, tweeted a video of the family's brand new addition — and it's as adorable as we imagined.

"He’s a lot more outgoing now and you can now see the personality in him," Dezhianna said. "Now when he sleeps with me, he’ll roll over in the morning and get super close to my face and say, 'Dae, I so happy.'"
